Finding the “time”

Nobody knows better than a parent how hard it is to find some “me” time. From the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep, and often throughout the night, our time is dedicated to our children. Having recently added a second child to our family, I have gone sometimes weeks without finding a moment to breathe my own air, so to speak. For instance, this very blog was a resource I created to let out my thoughts, advice and frustrations with life to get things off my chest, yet I haven’t logged on for months.

I decided today, at this instant, that I was going to take a few minutes to myself instead of waiting around for them to be handed to me, because that is very unlikely to happen. Just a reminder that although our lives are busy, and there are only so many hours in a day, there is always a minute that can be spared for yourself.

With those thoughts, I must go back to playing with my baby and simultaneously play Legos with the toddler while dinner is cooking on the stove. =)

  1. What a wonderful gift to have the ability to write your thought so clearly and balance your family’s needs. I look forward to learning more through your wisdom!
